WHAT WE DO
Armed Robbery/Tiger Kidnap Training
The training is specifically for employees who handle cash or other valuables. Our acclaimed simulation led approach is designed to help prevent a hold-up or kidnap by increasing vigilance of staff members together with techniques that will minimise the risk of injury and trauma should an attack occur.
Conflict Management/Lone Worker Training
This programme teaches frontline staff how to deal with the threat of violence or aggression including verbal or physical abuse in the course of their daily work. Using a series of relevant role-play scenarios, the course focuses on face to face communication together with other tried and tested techniques for managing conflict and handing aggressive customer including in their own home or business premises.
Travel Safe Training
The programme is designed increase the personal safety of employees who are travelling and working overseas, particularly in difficult or dangerous locations. Firstly through avoidance/ minimisation and then secondly, should an incident occur, by responding in a manner that enhances their own personal safety and that of their colleagues. Significantly the programme can also deal with a worst-case scenario such as kidnap & ransom.
Critical Incident Management Training
This course is designed for those who are likely to provide an immediate response to an armed robbery or other critical incident. The training provides delegates with techniques that will assist them to manage the different stages of an incident such as welfare of victims, evidence gathering, working with the police and managing the media.

ABOUT US
Our expert trainers successfully deliver personal safety training to a large number of diverse clients in both the public and private sector (please see client list). Most are pursuing a second career having gained valuable practical expertise from law enforcement, the military or commerce.
The elite Flying Squad at New Scotland Yard (which is expert at combating armed robbery) has provided SPA with some of the practical expertise in respect of armed hold-up/ raid training. Furthermore British Airways (Safety, Security & Environment Department) has done the same in respect of conflict arising from passengers ('air rage') and the personal safety of crew in respect of kidnap and other threats overseas.
The delivery of the training is always tailored to the needs of the client but we always recommend that part of the programme contains an experiential element. The sensitive, voluntary, non contact role-play conducted by professionally trained actors combined with the credibility/ skill of the trainers is an excellent way for delegates to learn. This methodology gets the message over in a high impact, fun way.
